Exhibition
From 27 until 31 August 2018 a photo exhibition, organized by Indonesian alumni of our program, took place at Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Title: VERSTEHEN – Reflecting on the Experiences of Intercultural Research. Cooperation of UGM/ALU in Tandems and Teams, 2004 - 2017.

Extension
From 2018 on the collaboration between the Institute for Sociocultural Anthropology in Freiburg and the Department of Anthropology of Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, is also part of European Campus.
Field research training in Yogyakarta 2018
In August/September 2018 five students (BA and MA) from Freiburg University, one student from the University of Basel and fourteen students of Gadjah Mada University (graduate as well as postgraduate) conducted fieldwork exercises in Yogyakarta on “THE ANTHROPOLOGY OF ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM”. The Exhibition "Verstehen" with photos and documents of our program from 2004-2017 was opened with a Tumpeng - a cone-shaped rice dish traditionally offered in Selamatan ceremonies.
